January who??

January flew by and now February is coming to an end. I can’t believe it and neither can my poor neglected blog. ;)

Here are a couple happenings in January…
Kanyon lost his 6th tooth (so technically that was December 31st – New Years Eve, but close enough). I thought loosing teeth might get old to him, but it never does! Look at that grin.

One of his front teeth is already growing in more than even the picture shows… it’s so strange and big. It’s bitter sweet. That smile of his is changing so much, so fast.

Cohen and Kelan love to climb on chairs and do whatever I’m doing at the kitchen counter.


I’ve enjoyed our quiet mornings together the 2 days a week that Scarlett is in pre-k.

Although kind of disturbing, I had to include this photo. Kelan went through a phase last month were all he wanted to do was play with “Debra”, Scarlett’s mannequin head.

Thanks to Debra, Scarlett can now do her very own pony tails at just 4 years old. :) She reminds me of my sister who was doing her own hair by Kindergarten. Me? Not so much. I was still having my sister doing my pony tails in Jr. High. ;)

Scarlett’s still very much into Hello Kitty. In fact, she’s been asking for that theme for this year’s birthday. I’m pretty sure she’s not going to change her mind. Her Hello Kitty band aids work better at healing than any others according to her!

My girl. She’s a beauty.


I can’t believe Kindergarten registration is coming up next month for her. I think I might die a little inside when she and Kanyon hop on the bus together in the morning this Fall.

One last moment in January was something just for me. I marked off something on my bucket list… my first half marathon. It deserves a whole post on it’s own, so stay tuned for that! :)
