18 months… my baby is growing!
Could it be? My baby is 18 months and officially has spent the last 2 Sundays in nursery.

The first Sunday was like a special treat! The second Sunday was a little bittersweet for me. I’ve never been in this position before. I’ve always either had another baby already or am about to have another one. I almost feel like I don’t know what to do with my hands in Sunday School or Relief Society.
For the first time in a long while when someone says, “Will you be in RS this week?” I can say, “Yes! I will!” with absolutely no uncertainty about whether or not a baby will keep me out because they’re so cranky and tired. Hopefully I won’t get asked if I’m a visitor. ;)

My little Kelan has so much personality. He’s so sweet and will cuddle with me for at least 5 seconds before he sees something else he wants. ;) He’s very shy around people. He will smile and duck his head and then peek back around at them. Sometimes I’m so grateful for the sweet person sitting behind me during Sacrament Meeting smiling at him because that will create a most peaceful hour+ with him smiling and ducking and cuddling… and repeat. It’s either that or stealing crayons from his siblings and trying to eat them, or running away and crying. :) We are very familiar with the foyers.

He is trying to talk more. I’m sure it would help if I took away the binky during the day. I’m working on it. Today it was successful. Tomorrow is another story!

Poor guy still deals with constipation. His daily dose of Miralax is still in play. Hopefully the need for that decreases as he grows older. He’s got all his teeth but his 4 eye teeth. He is constantly drooling right now and shoving his fist in his mouth and after stealing a look last night, it seems as if one or two will be making an appearance soon. I can’t wait to be done with teething! Kelan is not a happy teether.

Lucky for me, he’s still lacking in the hair department. This allows me to pretend he’s my baby a little longer. :) Kelan loves to watch Baby Einstein or Super Why. He is known for asking for that at least 2-3 times a day. I give in at least once.

I felt the need to take pictures of him wearing one of Steve’s favorite things to put him in. If Steve get’s him dressed, he will be in this cowboy sweatshirt and jeans. It’s from “Grandpa with the Horses” as my kids call him – Steve’s Dad, so it’s fitting. :)
Here’s a video of Kelan at his swim lessons with Pam today. He’s doing so well. Don’t mind the crying… he so dramatic being away from Mommy. As soon as he gets his smiley on his hands, and is in his warm towel with me, he grins from ear to ear at Pam. We laugh about his “switch” he flips everyday!
I feel the baby years quickly slipping away and it’s scary a little bit because it’s all I’ve known for so long as a mother. But, I’m also excited about the next phase of life. Change helps you grow and I’m doing a lot of that lately.

I love that he loves baby einstein and super why! Those are the only shows Henry cares for too! Isn’t that funny? I can’t figure out why he loves them but he does. tehee! It buys me time to shower and cook dinner so they’re handy and I’m grateful for them!

Aww.. It’s like you are a mini empty nester in R.S. he is so cute and I love how he always wants me to pick him up and cuddle him when I am around. Are you kidding me, he swims? I think you need to tell me about that a little more.
